King Sensei, Nidan
George was born and raised in Anchorage, Alaska where he began studying judo at the age of 12. Throughout his childhood and into graduate school he continued training in judo while practicing several other arts: kendo, karate, tai chi, wrestling, and jiu-jitsu. George holds the rank of nidan in judo under Robert Brink (6th dan) and the rank of shodan in karate under Grand Master Hiang The.
He has taught judo for nine years to both children and adults and has coached local, state, and regional champions. His accopmlishments include winning state titles in Alaska, Kentucky, Ohio, and Tennessee.
After moving to Southern California in 2006 he began training in jiu-jitsu under Professor Magid Hage with Gracie Barra Escondido. George currently holds the rank of brown belt.
Professor Magid Hage, Black Belt

Magid Hage was born in 1968, in Bahia Brazil where he lived most of his life. Throughout his life, he participated in the training of many martial arts including Karate and Capoeira. However, he finally felt at home when he discovered Jiu Jitsu in 1995. His first instructor was Daniel Valverde (black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Judo), with whom Magid trained until he acquired the purple belt in 1998. In Brazil, he participated in many local and national tournaments in which he earned many titles including being the first place champion in the Copa Kildere, and the first place champion of the state of Bahia. He moved to San Diego California in December of 1998 where he came to know and learn from the Jiu Jitsu instructor Marcelo Pereira with Gracie Barra.
After much dedication and training, he earned the titles of first place champion in Copa Pacifica and in the California State Championship, and second place in the Pan American Jiu Jitsu Championship. He was awarded the Brown Belt from Marcelo Pereira. Magid was a Jiu Jitsu instructor at the Gracie Barra school for two years, where he acquired much experience. Today, Magid represents Gracie Barra in Escondido California, where he has dedicated himself to instruct adults and children in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and self defense. He earned his black belt from legendary Carlos Gracie Jr., who he presently trains with at the Gracie Barra headquarters in Irvine California. Magid is certificated by Gracie Barra and obtains the certificate of Referee in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, awarded by the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Confederation.
